Since I was about 14 I’ve always loved experimenting with the makeup, and the way it can completely transform you. But, as I was at a school strict on makeup up till university, I was never able to dedicate much time to it. Once I got to university, I may of spent a littttttle bit of my loan on makeup…. or a lot of my loan. BUT, I don’t regret it, as through a lot of free time at uni, I’ve taught myself new tricks and tips when it comes to ‘painting’ your face 😉 💅
As it’s been Christmas and I’ve been working over the holidays, I have bought and used some new products. The ones in this post are my absolute favourites of the month. They’re the type of products that the minute they run out, I will break down :’) Not in any particular order! 😚
Bobbi Brown Intensive Skin Serum Corrector £28 – I’ve always found that putting concealer under my eyes always ends up cakey and flakey. It wasn’t until I went into Bobbi Brown that they told me you shouldn’t actually every put makeup products directly under the eye!! They recommended this product which ‘neutralizes under eye discoloration’ and actually rejuvenates under eye bags! I absolutely love it, especially after a late night…of reading my book obviously…👀
Radial Dragons Blood Sculpting Gel £9.50 – For my Christmas advent calendar this year I had the Marks and Spencer Beauty calendar, and OMG this facial gel is unbelievable. It basically volumizes and defines your facial contours, and makes your face the perfect base for applying foundation. I’m obsessed with it.
Urban Decay Smokey Palette £34.20 – Last year I got the Naked 2 palette and used it 24/7 all day everyday, but wanted something a bit more ‘sassy’. I love love love a dark eye, especially like a smokey cat eye. This is the perfect palette. It’s really sultry, but also has a bit of shimmer, which I love.
Mac Haul – Spice Lipliner, Sugarrimmed Dazzleglass, Matte Velvet Teddy lipstick – Ahhhhhhhhh, where to start. Mac is my number one weakness, yes it’s a bit pricey, but I personally think it’s worth every penny. Starting with the ‘Spice’ lipliner, this is the BEST lipliner I have ever used. Shamefully, I have had to buy it three times, because I seem to lose it on every night out 😫 it’s smooth and creamy and I just lav it. However, it is expensive and I do have the Rimmel ‘Spice’, which is really nice as well, and only £2.99! I love to group up the Spice lipliner, with the Matte Velvet Teddy lipstick and the sugarrimed dazzleglass, as I think it gives a laaavley nude look. Plus, you can get that Kylie Jenner pout 😄😘
Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow Pomade – If you’re into makeup tutorials on youtube, or just the Kardashians in general, you will know all about this product! It is an absolute God send for eyebrows. I have the most atrocious natural eyebrows, ever since overplucking/shaving mine when I was a stupid 13 year old 🙅 It stays on for hours, and is so easy to apply and work with! Plus, there are hundreds of helpful tutorials specialised to using it on Youtube! It’s £15, which trust me, is well worth it! It also lasts for ages! No excuse for eyebrows that aren’t on FLLEEEEEEK.
Hope you enjoyed having a little look at what I’m loving this January!😘
